My Pack

My Wolf Spirit is Not a Lone Wolf

I have a wolf spirit. But she’s not a lone wolf…

My pack is what gives me security, support, and a good challenge. It’s where I can let go, where I can just be, and where I can grow.

An old friend I recently reconnected with asked me about my relationship. I told her how it’s been an eye-opener in many different ways, but especially in the spiritual realm. After a wonderful afternoon of inspiring conversation and many laughs shared, she summarized “It’s great that you’ve met him – sometimes the Universe sends you someone amazing to learn from…”

While I love her sentiment, I’ve been thinking about this for a very long time now… Was he sent to me to teach me? Is he my teacher? Am I a student of his?
While there are aspects in these statements that are true, they don’t really get to the bottom of what our partnership is about or how we see it.

We called each other’s souls in at a time when each of us was already awakening and opening our third eye. We were ready to be with the other, so we appeared in each other’s lives. I am learning a lot in this relationship, but so is he. There are teacher-student dynamics, but each of us plays both roles interchangebly. He is a teacher of mine, but not because he knows more than me. That’s what’s the key here. We are both constantly & curiously open to each other’s learning and healing journeys, we are sharing our insights and feelings with each other in a vulnerable and honest way, and we are respectful of each other’s boundaries at all times.

That’s how we are learning from each other. That’s how we are teaching each other.

He said: ʏᴏᴜ ᴡɪʟʟ ʙᴇ ᴍʏ ᴀᴅᴠᴇɴᴛᴜʀᴇ, ᴀɴᴅ ɪ ᴡɪʟʟ ʙᴇ ʏᴏᴜʀ ᴀɴᴄʜᴏʀ.

And I knew… He's Divine.

Pro tip: don’t settle for anyone or anything less than that. Find peace and love within yourself & you will attract it into your life.

How to Be Present

My baby dog reminds me to be present. To be fully in the moment. To be here. To not worry. To follow instinct. To play.

Sounds good, doesn’t it? She’s the best teacher and my most treasured pack member..

“We get the dog we need, not the dog we want.” ~ Cesar Millan

I am definetely doing a lot of work right now. I am being challenged by my little dog every day. Ever since I read Women Who Run With the Wolves, I’ve wanted to have a whole pack of dogs. Be that fierce pack leader to a whole group of different dogs. Now that I have one puppy, I realize how much work is necessary. How much inner work… I never knew!
